Description

I'm a PhD student at the Center for computational biology (we call it CBIO, it's easier!) which is part of the INSERM U900/Mines/Curie Bioinformatics unit. I'm advised by Jean-Philippe Vert. We're interested in (molecular) biological problems and intend to help solving them using machine learning, a marriage between applied mathematics and computer science. My research is just starting and is about predicting breast cancer outcome from gene expression data. It is mostly related to model selection.
