I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Machine Learning Department and a member of the Sense, Learn, Act (SeLeCT) Lab in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. My research spans the areas of statistical machine learning, artificial intelligence, and robotics, with a focus on system identification and reinforcement learning (see publications below).

Prior to becoming a graduate student at CMU, I was an Associate in Research in the Laboratory of Dale Purves investigating human visual and auditory perception in the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience at Duke University. Before that, I worked as an engineer at MobileRobots Inc., where I developed perception and navigation systems for autonomous mobile robots.

I spent my undergraduate years at Bowdoin College, where I double-majored in computer science and analytic philosophy and competed on Bowdoin's Track and Field Teams.
