Chus Martínez is the Chief Curator at MACBA (the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona), where she is currently preparing "Are You Ready For TV?" an exhibition opening in November that examines the historical intersection of art and philosophy and the medium of televisual broadcast. Previously, she directed the Frankfurter Kunstverien from 2005 to 2008, and is a member of the curatorial team for the 29th São Paulo Biennial which opened this September. Her writing has been published in journals and magazines such as Artforum, Kaleidoscope, Piktogram, Afterall, and in monographic catalogues on Armando Andrade Tudela, Kostis Velonis, Thomas Bayrle, Deimantas Narkevicius, Manon de Boer, among others.
