Description

Dr. Settles received his B.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Production Technology from LeTourneau University in 1962. He obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University in 1967 and 1969, respectively.

Dr. Settles is a member of the National Academy of Engineering. He is an Institute of Industrial Engineering Fellow and past president. Dr. Settles was the Chair for the Board on Manufacturing and Engineering Design of the National Research Council, and Chair of the Council of Industrial Engineering Academic Department Heads.
