Franjo Bobinac – born in 1958 in Celje. In 1982 he graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana in international economic relations, and in 1997 he finished MBA at Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Paris. He speaks French, English and German.

He started his career in Emo Celje and after three years of working there, on 1st Sep 1986 he joined Gorenje Commerce as the assistant to the Director of Export. After four years he was appointed Director of Export in Gorenje Gospodinjski aparati, and in 1991 he became Director of Marketing in Gorenje Gospodinjski aparati. From 1st May 1993 to Mar 1998 he was general director in Gorenje Sidex France, Gorenje subsidiary in France. During that period that subsidiary consolidated in the financial and organisational sense, the sales increased substantially due to new customers and programmes, and products started to be sold also under Gorenje brand name. Since 1st Mar 1998 he was a member of the temporary Management Board, and then a member of the present Gorenje d.d. Management Board, responsible for sales and marketing.

In addition to his wide international experience in marketing, Franjo Bobinac has deep theoretical and practical knowledge, which he occasionally shares with the students of management at IEDC – Bled School of Management.

Franjo Bobinac has appropriate organisational skills and capability of leading. As a member of Gorenje Management Board he managed to introduce quality changes in the organisation and contents of work in marketing in a relatively short period of time, and as the person, responsible for sales, he contributed a lot to the extraordinary growth of Gorenje.

He is a member of the general assembly of the International Association CECED, a member of ETI, d.d., Supervisory Board; a member of Council of IEDC – Bled School of Management; a member of collegiate body of economics at Ljubljana University; a member of Council of Economic faculty in Ljubljana; a member of the UNICEF Economic Committee and a member of the Slovenian handball federation presidency.
