Description
Tóth Gergely was born in 1970. He is
an economist and holds an M.Sc. in Business Administration, and a Ph.D.
in Environmental Management. He has studied and in the USA, Holland,
Germany, Romania and the Baltic States. He is fluent in Eng-lish and
German.
In 1995, Tóth Gergely and his colleagues established the
Hungarian Association for Environmentally Aware Management (KÖVET). He
remained the executive direc-tor of this NGO until 2006 and has since
acted as secretary general. He has also worked as the executive
director and then vice president of the International Network for
Environmental Management (INEM). Since 2006 he has been an assistant
professor at the University of Pannonia in Keszthely, teaching
economics, environmental management and global trade.
Tóth
Gergely holds 18 honors and awards, including the ‘Pro Scientia’ prize
of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, awarded in 1995. He has managed
and supervised over 20 larger projects, financed by the European Union
and other donor agencies. He has contributed to 30 books, has published
50 articles in professional journals and over the last 12 years has
held 180 lectures at Hungarian and international conferences and
training workshops.
