Description

My name is Hossam Sharara, PhD Candidate in the Computer Science Dept. at the University of Maryland, College Park. I am mainly interested in machine learning, data mining and relational learning, in the theory behind and various applications.

My main research focus is on Dynamic, Multi-Modal Networks. I have done work in studying the evolutionary and diffusion aspects in such networks (Please see a list of my publications for further details). My advisor is Prof. Lise Getoor, and I belong to LINQS, a statistical relational learning research group.

I am originally from Egypt and holding a masters degree in Data mining techniques in Computer Science (Minor: Bioinformatics) from Alexandria University, Egypt.
