Description

I am a PhD student at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS), an academic section in the Faculty of Science at Leiden University. I am working in the area of "Annotated Graph Mining" under supervision of Dr. Hendrik Blockeel. I am also the member of LIACS Data Mining Group. My domain of interest is analyzing Protein Protein Interaction (PPI) Networks where each node in the graph is a protein and edges are interactions among the proteins. We chose the protein function prediction as the main problem in the area of PPI networks. We proposed the novel approach which is based on the protein description formalism that also considers the global information, namely information that locates a protein relative to other specific proteins in the network.
