Our video summarizes one of our recent projects regarding sketch recognition for the domain of written East Asian languages such as Chinese and Japanese. Our research focuses on developing computer-assisted language instruction (CALI) systems which provide human instructor-level assessment of students' written East Asian writings, both for visual structure and written technique. That is, we strive to provide an intelligent "dynamic" workbook for supplementing current East Asian language programs, in order to alleviate the difficulties of learning written East Asian.
