Description

The article summarizes different approaches towards conscious social and technological innovations under the umbrella term Ethonomics currently used by innovation journalism like the US magazine Fast Company. It examines the potential economic power of Ethonomics and ability for local and global growth in a post growth society with Ethonomics. Furthermore the article highlights not only a possible solution for economic sustainability but also for a balanced local and global social and environmental sustainability as it is demanded by the sustainable development concept, which was first described in the Brundtland Report "Our Common Future" 1987 by the United Nations World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED).
