Jasper Verberk began his study Civil Engineering at Delft University of Technology in September 1990. In 1996, he finished his master thesis in drinking water supply entitled "optimization of coagulation process Waterwinstation Cornelis Biemond" supervised by prof. J.C. van Dijk. Hereafter he started working at Delft University as a researcher. In 1999 he started with his PhD research on the application of air in membrane filtration. On April, 26th 2005 he defended his thesis. He worked as a post-doc at Delft University on a drinking water project, entitled "Quality for the 21st century (Q21)". From september 2005 until december 2006 Jasper worked at the Cooperative Research Centre for Water Quality and Treatment in Adelaide (Australia). His research was focused on water quality processes in the distribution system. From 2006 tot 2009 Jasper Verberk worked as an assistant professor in drinking water engineering at Delft University of Technology. In January 2010 Jasper Verberk was promoted to associate professor at Delft University of Technology. Currently he supervises several PhD students. In 2008 he started the open access journal Drinking Water Engineering and Science of which he is the executive editor.
