Description

My research focuses on acquisition and semantization of 3D models of architectural and urban scenes, targeted towards simulation of physical phenomena at different spatial and temporal scales. My areas of expertise are computer vision and computational geometry, and especially 3D photography, i.e. automatic 3D modeling from digital photographs.

My research has led to novel image-based modeling algorithms, whose results compare favorably with the state of the art. Please consult our demo page. For a quantitative comparative evaluation of our algorithms, you may consult the online benchmark created by Christoph Strecha.
