Description
Jennifer Hill Geertsma is a Ph.D candidate in residence in the Department of Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her interests include research methodology, economic sociology, and organizational theory. Jen's dissertation examines how organizations manage risks presented by new technologies and the impact the institutional environment has on organizational governance. She has several years of experience in survey research and program evaluation having worked as a research analyst at both the Center for Survey Research at UMass Boston and the UMass Donahue Institute. Jen is a member of the American Sociological Association and the Eastern Sociological Society.
