I am a Ph.D. candidate of the School of Information at the University of Michigan. My advisors are are Mark Ackerman, Lada Adamic, and George Furnas. I am broadly interested in HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) and CSCW (Computer-Supported Collaborative Work) in the context of social computing.

My research focuses on understanding the social structure and dynamics of large-scale, especially Internet-scale knowledge sharing communities. My work involves developing computational methods (complemented with qualitative studies) to discover, evaluate, and improve the social interface and mechanism of these systems.

Before coming to the US, I was a designer and soccer player back in my home country China.
