Description
I'm a post-doc researcher in the ADReM group. I finished my thesis, 'Making Pattern Mining Useful', under supervision of prof.dr. Arno Siebes in the Algorithmic Data Analysisgroup at Universiteit Utrecht in December 2009. Before, in 2004, I also attained my M.Sc. at Universiteit Utrecht.
My research is concerned with pattern mining, finding interesting patterns and putting them to good use. For this, compression (MDL) has proven a valuable tool. Currently I'm investigating how to extend its possibilities, efficient mining, and explore other measures of interestingness.
