Description

Jordi Sanchez-Riera is a PhD candidate in the PERCEPTION team at INRIA Rhone-Alpes, working under the supervision of Radu Horaud. Jordi’s research interests cover computer vision, image understanding, augmented reality, and robotics. Before coming to Grenoble he has worked as a research assistant at several laboratories in different countries. In Catalonia he has worked for the Catalan Government developing software and hardware for disabled people, in the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) at the Image Processing Group (GPI) working on PTZ camera calibration, and for the Robotics Institute (IRI-CSIC) working on PnP problems with deformable objects. After that, he moved to the United States at NASA Ames Research Center where he spent one year at the Vision Group in the Human Factors Division where he developed an eye tracking system among other applications. Finally he also has been at IDIAP Research Institue in Switzerland working on face verification.
