Description

Jožek Gruškovnjak is a director in the Cisco Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG), leading the team in Middle East, Africa and Latin America. In this position, he works with the leading companies and governments in the region to help them become more effective through changed business processes and intelligent technology deployment.

Since joining Cisco in 1998, Jožek has held various leadership positions in Cisco’s field organization, most recently as general manager, responsible for leading the team, development, and execution of the strategy and programs for sales operations in Southeast Europe, as well as driving Cisco’s sales in the region. In all his roles in Cisco, Jožek has been instrumental in developing key relationships with governments and business leaders, helping them understand and take advantage of new technologies and business models.

Prior to joining Cisco, Jožek was an entrepreneur and held various management positions with the leading Slovenian networking integrator, NIL Ltd. Before establishing NIL Ltd., Gruškovnjak worked as an independent IT consultant and as research associate at the Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Born and educated in Slovenia, Jožek holds an MBA from IEDC (International Executive Development Centre) in Slovenia and has graduated in computer sciences and is on the faculty for electrical engineering and computer sciences at the University of Ljubljana.
