Krzysztof Obłój, PhD, former President of European International Business Academy, is a Professor of Strategic Management and holds chairs of Strategic Management at the School of Management of University of Warsaw, Poland, and Kozminski University. He has taught at Bodo Graduate School of Management in Norway, Henley Management College in the UK, ESCP-EAP in Paris, and IEDC-Bled School of Management in Slovenia. As a visiting professor he has spent a considerable time doing research and lecturing abroad, mostly in the US at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (2005, 1995-1996), Yale University, Central Connecticut State University, and Duquesne University. He has published two books in the US and coauthored several in Europe. His last four books published in Poland became bestsellers and have already run to several editions.
Prof Obloj is a well known consultant in Poland and advises numerous Polish and international firms such as Eurobank, Goodyear Group, GlaxoSmithKline, SAP, MediaExpress, Lukas Bank, PKN Orlean, Asea Brown Boveri, LG Petro, and Benckiser in the areas of strategy, structure, and organizational culture. He has been a President or a Board Member of the largest companies in Poland – Agora (media), Orlen (petrochemicals), and PZU (insurance). He is at the moment President or Member of four supervisory boards of large public and private companies in Poland.
