Description

Mr Billfalk studied Civil Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden. He also holds a PhD in Hydraulics Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm.

He started his professional career at Scandinavian Engineering Corporation as Consulting Engineer for irrigation dams in Algeria. In 1973, he joined the River and Harbour Laboratory in Trondheim as a Research Engineer. From 1976 to 1990, he was Member of the Swedish State Power Board, before becoming, in 1990, President and CEO of Vattenfall, the largest power company in Scandinavia. He was appointed to his present position of Executive Vice President in 2001.

Mr Billfalk is the author of numerous research reports and articles in technical journals.
