Description

Biography

I obtained B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University, P.R. China, in 1998, and Ph.D. in Statistics, from School of Statistics, University of Minnesota, in 2003. Dr. R. Dennis Cook and Dr. Christopher J. Nachtsheim were my thesis advisors. I then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Dr. P.J. Hagerman Lab, School of Medicine, University of California, Davis. I joined Department of Statistics, North Carolina State University, in August, 2005, as an Assistant Professor in Statistics. Here is my CV (pdf).

My research interests include dimension reduction, variable selection, computational biology, data mining, and statistical machine learning. Here is a list of my publications.
