Description

I am a research associate in the Machine Learning and Optimization Research Group at the School of Computer Science of the University of Manchester, UK. I work on a systems Biology project, called TIGRA, together with Neil Lawrence and Magnus Rattray. Before, I did my PhD at institute of Adaptive and Neural Computation at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Chris Williams. I did my undergraduate and master degree in Computer Science at the University of Ioannina, Greece.

Research interests

  • Machine learning methods: Gaussian processes, Bayesian non-parametric models, probabilistic graphical models, kernel methods
  • Approximate inference: variational methods, Markov chain Monte Carlo
  • Dynamical systems: nonlinear models, stochastic differential equations,
  • Applications: systems Biology, computer vision, web
