Description
Dr Mike Tipping works for Vector Anomaly, a statistical consultancy which he set up in 2006 along with Mark Hatton. He was previously a researcher with Microsoft Research, Cambridge, UK. His research interests mainly centre on the theory and application of probabilistic models for machine learning and statistical pattern recognition, emphasising the use of Bayesian inference. He has worked on applications of these to handwriting recognition, bioinformatics, information retrieval, image processing and interactive entertainment.
