Dear Sir
He teach very good. I am really interested with his teaching.
I hope that I can see the other subject of his teaching in physics. I really suprive that I can improve my physics through out of the Internet.
Thank you so much!

Comment2 R Dixit, February 21, 2009 at 2:45 p.m.:

Hon'ble Professor is doing great job.he is spreading knowledge though the very best medium internet. It is very useful and interesting to views these lecture. It is my firm believe that some courses which are assumed to be tough for understanding perspective , would benefit thousands and millions of students in coming days to learn the concepts. It will also popularize physics among students in some countries where there is no good infrastructure and proper faculty.
The Pedagogy of 'Young Professor' is amazing and quite inspirational for others Gurus to have such energy level.
Last but not least, this initiative is definitely giving the right direction of learning though Internet.

Thanks And Best Wishes
R Dixit

Comment5 Lior, March 11, 2009 at 11:56 p.m.:

"Making physics simple" should be the title of each video.

Apart from being crystal clear and easy to understand, he makes the videos dangerously intriguing.

Comment6 Tuhin Malik, March 30, 2009 at 5:09 p.m.:

This is a very usefull web site.

i am a student of Scottish Church College. kolkata. B.Sc Phyics Hons.

Comment7 KGK Murthy, April 3, 2009 at 2:25 p.m.:

It is very very interesting that PHYSICS can be taught this way. The confidence Lewin expresses in each topic is excellent and deserves highest regards. I appreciate the organisers of this opencourse ware a grand success and the students of the world a good time with the lectures

Comment8 Kuta, April 11, 2009 at 4:20 a.m.:

It is immensely interesting, I feel enlightened! Thank you Professor and MIT.

Comment9 YK Maheshwari, April 11, 2009 at 6:57 a.m.:

Prof Walter Lewin has set a benchmark in physics teaching.
His concept explainations, drawing meticulously on the board, taking thru question and answers, sometimes when experiment fails- explaining so that what ever he does can be emulated by people.

Everything is so live in the classroom. At the same time the best professor of MIT can be seen in remote corner of the world without any travel.

Remarkable feat by all means.

Comment10 Giancarlo, April 13, 2009 at 3:58 p.m.:

Wow, the physics with you is so simple. I live in Italy and here there aren't professor so good.

Thank you.

Thank you very much Mr.Lewin.

Comment19 zubair khan, July 9, 2009 at 12:59 p.m.:

the great professor in the world i think in physics because he teach the and then explain it in a very formal way to get help from experimental point ofview and this is the thing which is very benefical for those student who are in high school and when he will get knowledge from it so may be they will be the great scientist of the world because the physics is the subject in which we observe thing and to struggle to create it if they will watch these type of experiment which clear the concept behind the obervation

Comment20 Simon Beaumont, July 23, 2009 at 10:50 p.m.:

Brilliant! - having been captivated by the first lecture I enjoyed the entire course: never was mechanics more visceral, accessible and important. The first and last lectures are an inspiration for anyone. The course is the ground floor in any physics education. Sincere congratulations to Walter Lewin: his sincerity and passion as a teacher and the love of his subject are palpable even across the internet. What a privilege to join this class at MIT. Many thanks to all concerned for sharing this with the world.

Comment21 rajeev, August 1, 2009 at 9:24 p.m.:

Comment32 cpsingh, February 27, 2010 at 8:26 p.m.:

Dear sir,
I would like to tell you that kinetic energy is not conserved during elastic collision , though initial and final kinetic energy is same. During impact some part of k.e. is converted into deformation p.e, therefore kinetic energy is conserved is not correct.

when a ball is dropped on a floor, after elastic collision, speed of ball is reversed not velocity of ball, velocity is vector u know very well.

I am a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student in London and this videos are the ultimate help. All lecturers should learn by example from Prof Walter. The fact that he shows everything by real life example makes it even more intuitive.

Comment36 jignesh hirpara, April 6, 2010 at 8:01 a.m.:

it is amazing to make concepts visible to the learner and sir is doing wonderful work a his kindness is reflected in the view from the people. nice to see the tricks to transform the concept in practical manner. but i think that needs lot of innovation and freedom too. i would like to have help, if you give insight to implement at lower grades also, i will be very happy if you help in that and if such activities are going on there please provide those videos also on net.... thanking you..

I love listening with Mr. prof, i can understand the course well, it is that, Physics is really a difficult subject, concepts, laws and how they interact with our daily live is really hard to explain...It is a very clear easy explanation of laws and concepts based on real experiments... I wish that i will have ateacher as great as him...

The best teacher of Physics that I have seen in my life :)

Comment84 Francois Jooste, September 30, 2014 at 11:23 a.m.:

I want to thank the person who organised this project and all the lecturers participating in it for providing knowledge to the world without the intentions of profit or self gain.

When I first found out about these lectures my heart melted, because I don't have access to higher education. I might not ever get a degree, doctorate, phd or any kind of recognition for the knowledge that has been provided by MIT. However I don't need a fancy piece of paper to say something about me. All I ever cared about was the knowledge and here at the tips of my fingers its available.

To be able to have some kind of understanding about how our world functions and the intellectual tools to help me explore this amazing universe we all live in. What more could I ever ask for?

Thank you to everybody participating in this project for making it possible. Not just for me, but for anybody who has a desire to learn. Not just physics, but a entire range of subjects at MIT.

It makes me happy to think that knowledge is being shared with anybody that is interested. Not just because of what it means to me, but what it could mean to future generations.

I salute you all with my utmost respect.
