Dr. Morris Chang has been the Chairman of our Board of Directors since our establishment and was our Chief Executive Officer from March 1998 to June 2005. As of June 12, 2009, he resumes his position as our Chief Executive Officer. From 1985 to 1994, he was President and then Chairman of the Board of Directors of Industrial Technology Research Institute. Prior to that, Dr. Chang was President and Chief Operating Officer of General Instrument Corp., Corporate Group and Senior Vice-President for Texas Instruments. He holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
