Description

In this talk the chemical ecology studies developed at Brazilian Agriculture Research Corporation, EMBRAPA will be presented. The team of the Laboratory of Semiochemicals of Embrapa Genetic Resources and Biotechnology (Brasília, central Brazil) is developing chemical ecology researches including pheromone identification, plant-insect interactions, electrophysiology, developing of new formulations, and others. The potential, recent advances, and researches oriented to incorporate chemical ecology tolls in pest management in general and in use in combination with biological control, in particular will be discussed in the context of Brazilian agriculture development.
