Onno J. Boxma (1952; Ph.D. Utrecht, 1977) has been an IBM Postdoctoral Fellow during 1978-1979

From 1974 until 1985 he has worked at the Mathematical Institute of the State University Utrecht. Since 1985 he has been with CWI, where he has led the department of Operations Research, Statistics and System Theory from 1989 until 1997, and the Department of Probability, Networks and Algorithms from 1997 until September 1998. He has been professor of Operations Research at Tilburg University from 1987 until September 1998. Since September 1, 1998, he is professor of Stochastic Operations Research in Eindhoven University of Technology. Onno Boxma serves on the editorial board of Markov Processes and Related Fields, Mathematics of Operations Research, Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry, Operations Research Letters and Queueing Systems, and he is member of IFIP WG7.3, the International Advisory Committee (IAC) of ITC, the board of Exact Sciences of NWO (NWO-GBE) and the Academie Raad voor de Wiskunde (ARW) of the KNAW.
