Paul F. Levy, served as Executive Dean of Harvard Medical School before joining Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He established a national reputation as an administrator with his service as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, the agency charged with the clean up of Boston Harbor, one of the largest pollution control projects in the world. He has also served as chairman of the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities and Director of the Arkansas Department of Energy.

Before joining Harvard Medical School, Levy was Adjunct Professor of Environmental Policy at MIT, where he taught infrastructure planning and development and environmental policy for seven years. He has also maintained an independent consulting practice, providing strategic, negotiation and regulatory advice to firms in the energy, water and telecommunications arenas.

Levy has served as a member of The MIT Corporation since 2006.

Levy holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Urban Studies and Planning, and a Master’s in City Planning from MIT. He is the co-author of Negotiating Environmental Agreements (Island Press, 1999).
