Dr. Peter Schönswetter is assistant professor at the Department of Biogeography and Botanical Garden at the University of Vienna, Austria. His main research interests are connected to all aspects of the evolution of alpine plants of the Central and Southern European mountain ranges ranging from processes at the population level over patterns at the regional scale (e.g., range formation: ”phylogeography”) to the reconstruction of systematic relationships.
