Description

Assignment of protein function is a nontrivial task due to the fact that the same proteins may be involved in different biological processes, depending on the state of the biological system and protein localization. Therefore, protein function is context dependent and textual annotations commonly utilized to describe protein function lack the flexibility to address such contextuality.
