Sharon Treat je nekdanja poslanka iz države Maine, aktivistka in dolgoletna borka proti uničujočim sporazumom o prosti trgovini, kot sta TTIP in TPP. Sharon preučuje posledice prostotrgovinskih sporazumov na okolje, hrano in državno suverenost. Je tudi članica medvladnega posvetovalnega odbora pri ameriškem oddelku za trgovino in ima dostop do tajnih besedil sporazumov. Kot pravi sama, lahko te prebira na lokalnem uradu FBI-ja.
Sharon Treat je skupaj s kanadsko kolegico Maude Barlow sodelovala na posvetu o sporazumih TTIP in CETA v Državnem svetu. Z njo se je v Pritličju pogovarjal Andrej Gnezda (Umanotera).
