Description
Using examples of the application of quantitative ideas in social science (hard sciences) and recalling some approaches to complex problems in natural science (easy sciences) we suggest a path to developing a fundamental foundation for the analysis of social problems. A roadmap of suggested strategies over a few decades with agreed on metrics of successful activities would give guidance to quantitative approaches to these hard scientific problems.
