Description

Rok Habinc began his career in a family-run company engaged in international trade of IT and other technological equipment. Upon returning from the US in 1999, he joined the Aktiva MAI consulting company, a member of the Aktiva Group. He ran projects relating to the acquisition and sale of companies operating in the financial services, packaging, telecommunications, and IT sectors. He contributed to the establishment of one of the first venture capital funds in Slovenia. In 2003, he took over the management of SCT Strojegradnja d.d. (today Strenia d. d.), a manufacturer of mineral processing machines and large welded components for the construction machinery industry. During his five years of leadership, Strenia d.d. doubled its sales, began to operate with a profit again, and doubled its value added per employee.

Rok Habinc graduated from the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 1994. In 1997 he enrolled in an MBA (Master of Business Administration) graduate executive course at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, completing it in 1999. In 2004 he acquired the title of CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
