Semantic Interoperability is the ability ICT systems to exchange data and to enable the sharing of information and knowledge and preserving the original meaning of the data at all ends of the communicative system. The European Commission facilitates and promotes eGovernment services at all levels of administration by fostering semantic interoperability in all domains of public administration. These tutorials and lectures are selected and presented in cooperation with our partner, the Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe, http://www.semic.eu, a European Commission service. They cover a range of issues relevant to the creation and development of seamless and meaningful data exchange - from the semantic web and ontologies to domain-specific presentations which are helpful to stakeholders in European eGovernment.
