Description
I received a Diploma in Mathematics from the University of Bologna and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (IDIAP Research Institute). My Ph.D. concerned the application of probabilistic models to the analysis and classification of EEG recordings. I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Bernhard Schölkopf's group. In September 2009 I moved to the Statistical Laboratory in Cambridge. My research interests are based around Probabilistic Modeling, Bayesian Methods, Approximate Inference Methods and Time-Series Analysis.
