Viktor Misiano is critic and curator of contemporary art. He holds a PhD in art history. For ten years he was the curator of contemporary art at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad. He has been the director of the Contemporary Art Center (CAC) in Moscow. In 1996 he co-curated Manifesta I. Misiano is the Founder and Chief Editor of the Moscow Art Magazine (from 1993 on). He has published many articles on the subject of contemporary Russian and international art, photography and art theory.
