Description
He is a Ph. D. student in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at UCSD. He works with Prof. Gert Lanckriet in Computional Statistics & Machine Learning group.
His current research interest is primarily in mathematical statistics, especially in kernel methods, empirical process theory and statistical learning theory. He is also interested in optimization for machine learning.
Recently, he was a visitor at The Institute of Statistical Mathematics, Tokyo, working with Prof. Kenji Fukumizu.
Before joining UCSD, he was working as a researcher in Imaging Technologies Lab, GE Global Research at John F Welch Technology Centre, Bangalore, India. He did his masters in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India.
