Description

Dr. Ghidini completed her PhD in Computer Science Engineering in 1998 at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Before joining FBK she has worked as a post-doc at the Centre for Agent Research and Development, Manchester Metropolitan University, and as a lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool. Her work in the area of distributed knowledge representation is well known and internationally recognized and she has published over 50 conference and journal papers on the topics. She has served as PC member in some of the most important conferences in the area of the semantic web and multi-agent systems, as general co-chair of the 2nd European workshop on multi-agent systems (EUMAS 2004), as programme co-chair of the 4th International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Modeling and Using Context (CONTEXT 2003), and as tutorial co-chair of the 6th Annual European Semantic Web Conference (ESWC 2009). She has been involved both in national and international research projects, including the EU-funded FP6 APOSDLE Project.
