Description

Jane Farver has been director of the List Visual Arts Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since 1999. She was formerly Director of Exhibitions at the Queens Museum in New York, where she was one of the organizers for Global Conceptualism: Points of Origin, 1950s-1980s, which toured nationally, and where she organized Cai Guo Qiang's Cultural Melting Bath: Projects for the 20th Century in 1997. She has organized solo exhibitions by artists Adrian Piper, Michale Joo, Pavel Braila, and Artur Zmijewski, and was a guest curator for the 2000 Biennale at the Whiney Museum of American Art and co-commissioner for the 2004 Cairo Biennial.
