Jiayu Zhou is a senior research scientist at Samsung Research America, leading the design and implementation of the large-scale recommendation engine for TV program/ADs on Samsung Smart TV. Jiayu has a broad research interest in Machine Learning and Data Mining. Jiayu received his Ph.D. degree in computer science at Arizona State University in 2014, under the supervision of Professor Jieping Ye. During his PhD study, Jiayu interned twice at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center where he designed novel machine learning models for healthcare analytics. Currently, Jiayu serves as an Associate Editor for Neurocomputing.
