Mark Huyse (Kortrijk, 5 February 1952) is full professor at the University of Leuven (K.U.Leuven) and director of the Institute of Nuclear and Radiation Physics (IKS) of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. His research in experimental nuclear physics is mainly conducted at international accelerators. Sabbatical leaves brought him in Oak Ridge National Laboratories, Oak Ridge, USA (1982), CERN, Geneva, Switzerland (1991) and TRIUMF, Vancouver, Canada (1995). He published more than 200 articles in international journals and is serving in different scientific advisory committees.
