Prof. dr. Marko Topič, univ. dipl. inž. el. je zaposlen kot redni profesor na Fakulteti za elektrotehniko Univerze v Ljubljani, kjer vodi Laboratorij za fotovoltaiko in optoelektroniko. Raziskovalno deluje na področjih energetike in elektronike. V obdobju 1993-2011 je kot soavtor objavil preko 80 znanstvenih člankov v revijah s faktorjem vpliva, preko 100 prispevkov na konferencah in ima 2 patenta. Citiranost njegovih del presega 300 čistih citatov. Profesor Marko Topič je predsednik Strokovnega društva za mikroelektroniko, elektronske sestavne dele in materiale, predsednik Tehničnega odbora Fotonapetostni sistemi na Slovenskem inštitutu za standardizacijo in predsednik skupščine Slovenske tehnološke platforme za fotovoltaiko ter član Upravnega odbora Evropske tehnološke platforme za fotovoltaiko.

Prof. Dr. Marko Topic is employed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering within University of Ljubljana as the head of the Laboratory of Photovoltaics and Optoelectronics. His research and development focuses on sustainable energy and electronics. In the period 1993-2011 he has coathored more than 80 scientific papers in international journals, more than 100 conference contributions at the international conferences and he holds two patents. Citation of his publications counts more than 300 citations (without self citations). Professor Marko Topic is the president of Society for Microelectronics, Electronic Components and Materials, the chairman of Technical Committee of Photovoltaic Systems at the Slovenian Institute for Standardization and the chairman of Slovenian Photovoltaic Technology Platform as well as a Steering Committee Member of European Photovoltaic Technology Platform.
