Description

Prof. Dr. Matthias Müller-Hannemann has studied mathematics with economics at Technische Universität Berlin (German diploma 1994, Dr. rer.nat. 1997, habilitation in mathematics in 2001). After his diploma he has been working in several DFG projects on finite elemente mesh generation (1994-2000) at Technische Universität Berlin. In 2000 he moved to the Research Institute for Discrete Mathematics at the University of Bonn. From 2001-2002 he was visiting professor for Mathematical Optimization. Afterwards he moved to the Department of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt where he had another visiting professorship for Algorithmics in 2003. Afterwards, he was assistant professor (C1) in the group of Prof. Dr. Karsten Weihe. Since 2007 he is chair for Data Structures and Efficient Algorithms at the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. In 2010 he became Managing Director of the Universitätszentrum Informatik (UZI).
