Olivier Aubert is a research engineer at the University of Nantes and private consultant. His research interests are related to Document Engineering, especially in the audiovisual domain, Video Annotation and Hypervideos, Knowledge Engineering and Digital Traces. His work focuses on user-centered concerns, through the building of usable systems and the study of the emergence of user-lead innovation. He has been involved in multiple research projects related to Video Annotation and Trace-Based Systems. He is the designer and main developer of the Advene project, a versatile video-annotation platform. Latest projects include Cinecast, promoting video annotations for movie critics and audience, as well as the Visu e-learning platform.
