Description

Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Collaborative Policy at California State University, Sacramento, pioneered the use of multi-party stakeholder efforts in and around the State Capitol region of California to address highly complex and controversial public policy issues. Sherry has served as a public policy mediator and facilitator for the California State Legislature, state agencies as well as local and regional government, working on such topics as water supply, economic development, women’s health, environmental protection, public finance, governance, growth management, transportation, air quality and land use. She successfully mediated the nationally recognized Sacramento Area Water Forum Agreement, a six-year effort to develop a safe, reliable and environmentally sound water supply for a three county metropolitan area through the year 2030. Sherry has served as Senior Policy Consultant to the Local Government Commission. She has authored a number of books and journal articles on local governmental policy issues.
