Description

Svetozar Janevski is General Manager of Pivara Skopje, one of the top beer and the soft drinks companies in the Republic of Macedonia. Under his management Pivara Skopje was among the first three companies in the country to successfully complete the privatization process at a time when when the Macedonian business sector was starting, with unforeseeable difficulties and huge number of bankruptcies, the transition from a centrally controlled to a “free-market” economy. In that period Pivara Skopje doubled its production, its sales, and profit. It was followed by a productive acquisition, by CCHBC and Heineken, in 1998.

The career path of Mr Janevski in Pivara Skopje included gradual development through every segment of the company. Through the membership in numerous associations and institutions, including the National Bank Council, South Eastern European Cooperative Initiative (SECI), The Stability Pact, and the National Competitiveness Council, Mr Janevski has accumulated a significant amount of experience of the country and the region. He won the Best Manager Award in the Balkans in 1995 and the 11th October Leadership and Economic Achievement Award in 1996.
