Z matematičnim dokazom utemeljimo matematično izjavo. Poleg tega so dokazi tudi sredstvo komuniciranja med matematiki, saj so iz njih razvidne tudi matematične ideje, ki pripeljejo do novih spoznanj. Ogledamo si, kako v praksi pišemo dokaze in podamo osnovne strategije dokazovanja.
