Description
Dr. Nenad Stojanovic is a Project Manager at the FZI - Reasearch Center for Information technologies at the University of Karlsruhe. He received his MSc degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Nis, Serbia and Montenegro and a PhD degree from the University of Karlsruhe for a thesis on ‘Ontology-based Information Retrieval: Methods and Tools for Cooperative Query Answering’. He has participated in several R&D programs funded by the European Commission’s IST Programme related to ontologies, information retrieval and Knowledge Management.
Currently, he is a technical and scientific manager of the SAKE "Semantec enabled Agile Knowledge-based E-government" project. He has published more than 50 papers in international journals and conferences in the areas of ontology-based information retrieval, conceptual modeling, business process (workflow) management, knowledge management, e-government.
He has served in many program committees for events related to semantic technologies and knowledge managemet
His main topic of interest is the application of semantic technologies in the business, especially semantic-based BPM (business process management). Currently, he is working on logic-based event processing and its applications in distributed reactive systems.
