Description

Visokogorska jezera v Julijskih Alpah poznajo vsi obiskovalci slovenskih gora. Le malo pa jih ve, kako so globoka, katere vrste rastlin in živali živijo v njih in kako so ogrožena zaradi obiskovalcev, onesnaževanja ali klimatskih sprememb. Raziskovalci Nacionalnega inštituta za biologijo že od leta 1991 vsako jesen obiščejo vseh 14 jezer v visokogorju in odvzamejo vzorce vode, rastlin in živali, da bi sledili morebitnim spremembam v kakovosti vode in življenja v njih. Na nekaterih jezerih so potekale tudi podrobnejše raziskave njihove ekologije v okviru mednarodnih projektov. Na predavanju bodo prikazani rezultati teh raziskav in tudi splošno stanje in ogroženost teh jezer.
