Description
In order to process, manipulate and learn from large n-dimensional datasets a number of mathematical methods using linear algebra are presented. Further, to make predictions about the nature of data, especially based on the past observations, it is necessary to investigate probabilities.
Topics covered include vector spaces, the concept of orthogonality, matrices, matrix decompositions. Also discrete and continuous probabilities, conditional probabilities and Bayes Rule are discussed.
