Description
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a fast developing class of nanoporous materials constructed from nodes of metal ions and multidentate organic ligands forming the crystalline hybrid nets. Their unique structure properties such as high surface areas, void accessibilities and high density of open-metal sites enable versatile application opportunities. Applicability of MOFs is however still rather limited due to their chemical instability in solvo- or hydrothermal conditions. Herein, different synthesis strategies for mporving MOFs chemical resistivity in the presence of water will be presented.
